About
I'm Sandi Ford, a Keeshond hobby/preservation breeder. Keeshonden are a significant part of my life, and I am passionate about preserving and protecting the rich history of this wonderful breed!
I've been fortunate enough to have purchased, been gifted, or been able to borrow, a treasure trove of archived documents, photographs, and books about Keeshonden. These tell some of the Keeshond breed's journey, from their Dutch barge dog origins to becoming beloved family companions worldwide. I wanted to create a space where these documents could be preserved, enjoyed and shared with fellow Keeshond enthusiasts.
There's a wide range of materials here, including historical documents, videos, breed standards, old photographs, clippings and fascinating information from Keeshond breeders and owners across multiple countries and generations.
First, I aim to preserve the heritage of the Keeshond breed by digitizing and archiving historical materials. This ensures that the legacy of these remarkable dogs is not lost to time!
Secondly, I aspire to promote awareness and representation of the Keeshond. By sharing this information, I hope to encourage further research, and to celebrate the breed with other like-minded enthusiasts!

Thank You
I must extend huge appreciation and gratitude to Carolyn Schaldecker, Susan Cullen, and Mary Ellen Meyer, as without their very generous donation and access of artifacts and memorabilia, this project would not have been possible.
Thank you also to Christine Searle of The Keeshond Archives who provided inspiration for this project.
